Student Council

The Student Council has a very important role in allowing the children of Shellybannks to have a voice in the running of activities and events in the school. Each Student Council member is motivated by and elected based on principles such as fairness, equality, inclusion and teamwork while always keeping the question in mind, ‘How will this improve school life for the children in Shellybanks?’

When the Student Council comes up with new ideas and suggestions, they advertise these events through posters and announcements at assemblies.

Some events the student council have ran:

• Mad Hatter Day
• Pyjama Day
• Whole school cinema trip
• Hot chocolate event with the PTA
• Movie afternoon

The Student Council are really looking forward to creating more fun ideas this school year.
