The New Shellybanks Building

History

• In 2021, planning permission was granted for two new schools on the Roslyn Park site in Sandymount—one of which is the Shellybanks ETNS (primary school), alongside a new secondary school (Sandymount Park ETSS). These will replace the temporary facilities currently in use.
• The comprehensive campus plan includes:
  • A two-storey primary school for Shellybanks ETNS, featuring about 16 classrooms, a library space and a hall.
  • A three-storey secondary school capable of accommodating around 1,000 students.

Current Project Status

• BAM builders started the build in the summer 2024.
• Projected to move into the building in early 2026.

The new building will allow us to move out of our current temporary premises into a purpose-built, full-scale facility.The structure is set to deliver a substantial increase in space, including ample room for both mainstream and special education classrooms.
