Message from Our Principal, Aiveen Carr

Welcome to Shellybanks ETNS

Shellybanks ETNS is an equality-based, co-educational school with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our school ethos promotes inclusiveness and celebrates diversity. We take pride in creating a safe, calm and caring environment where every child feels valued, nurtured and supported academically and emotionally.

A key part of our ethos is our strong commitment to pupil voice. Our dedicated staff place children at the centre of everything we do, ensuring they feel heard, respected and empowered.

We follow the national curriculum alongside the Learn Together Programme, which fosters ethical education, respect, empathy and active citizenship. We place an emphasis on pupil wellbeing, and ensure that children feel connected to the whole school community through weekly assemblies, student committees and collaborative projects.

Since opening in 2014, our school has grown from strength to strength thanks to the partnership of pupils, staff, parents/guardians, our PTA and Board of Management. This spirit of collaboration is central to who we are as an Educate Together school.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the completion of our new state-of-the-art school building in early 2026, which will further enhance the learning environment for our pupils.
